The SEO Strategist is responsible for executing SEO strategies across multiple client accounts, focusing on performance in both traditional and AI-driven search platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own SEO and AEO strategy quality across all client accounts, ensuring consistency and performance
• Define standards, frameworks, and best practices for how SEO is practiced at Taco
• Lead strategy for complex initiatives including technical SEO, content systems, topical authority building, and AI visibility optimization
• Review and approve SEO strategies, roadmaps, and major recommendations before delivery to ensure rigor and strategic coherence
• Stay ahead of search evolution (AI Overviews, LLM citations, entity-based retrieval) and translate changes into actionable client strategies
• Design and evolve AI-assisted SEO workflows across research, content briefing, QA, and reporting
• Leverage and improve automation using tools like n8n, AirOps, and custom AI workflows to reduce manual effort
• Build scalable, system-driven processes that increase team leverage and consistency
• Ensure Taco's SEO practice remains AI-native, not AI-adjacent, staying ahead of industry shifts
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and standardize high-quality outputs

Skills

• 4+ years of SEO experience with demonstrated ownership of strategy and measurable outcomes
• Deep expertise in technical SEO, content systems, and authority building across diverse industries
• Strong understanding of AI search including LLMs, answer engines, and retrieval-based ranking systems
• Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools (n8n, AirOps, or similar platforms)
• Proven ability to design scalable, AI-assisted processes that reduce manual effort
• Fluent English (written and verbal) with excellent documentation skills
• Strong written communication skills for creating frameworks, guidelines, and strategic documentation
• Agency experience supporting multiple clients simultaneously with high retention rates
• Experience operating in small, high-expectation teams where autonomy and judgment are critical
• Comfort making strategic decisions with incomplete information and evolving market conditions
• Track record of implementing automation that measurably improved team efficiency
• Experience with programmatic SEO or large-scale content operations
