Neumo is a company recognized for its expertise in supporting government services, and they are seeking a Senior Product Manager for Payments. The role involves driving the product roadmap for payments capabilities by collaborating with various teams, conducting market analysis, and ensuring the product meets client needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the product lifecycle for Neumo’s payments capabilities from market research through product definition, roadmap planning, delivery, and go-to-market strategy
• Develop the long-term product vision for payments and connect it with near-term planning to align resources, balancing immediate client needs with long-term product evolution
• Prioritize the payments product roadmap based on both quantitative and qualitative data, and support your decisions to internal and external stakeholders
• Achieve a clear understanding of the costs of your solution and the pricing opportunities and levers available in the market, including cross-sell and adjacent markets
• Drive a partnership ecosystem to maximize revenue with channel and strategic partner market leaders, including processor relationships, funding flows, boarding, and settlement
• Become fluently familiar with the needs of your market, clients, and end users by staying on top of market research and getting into the field for first-hand experience
• Serve as the central point of contact between multiple groups (e.g., sales, client success, implementations, and engineering) and collaborate to resolve conflicting interests to move the product forward
• Gather, define, and communicate feature requirements by writing high-quality initiatives and epics (and user stories as required) in partnership with engineering, architecture, and design
• Work directly with UX to build user research on early prototypes of design to determine the right way to deliver solutions; engage with community and user groups on ideation
• Communicate and support readiness activities across the company for launch
• Serve as a product evangelist, effectively representing the achievements of the product, the sales team, and the opportunity ahead
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience in product management
• 2+ years of experience being technical or technically conversant working with platform technologies and platform teams that are dependent on vertically integrated products
• Required experience with platform services in a SaaS and SaaS-adjacent model
• Required experience with payments as a service at scale, including processor relationships, funding flows, boarding, and settlement
• Experience using AI-powered productivity and analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Rovo, or similar) to support research, documentation, and day-to-day product work is a must
• Proven track record of shipping software products that deliver business results
• Demonstrated ability to develop deep customer empathy and articulate customer problems
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to explain complex information in a simple and accurate manner
• Process, problem-solving, strategic, and continuous improvement mindset
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with stakeholders
• Ability to influence without direct management authority
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Experience using tools like JIRA, Figma, and Microsoft 365 Suite
• Willingness to travel up to 40%
• B2B software experience
• Desired experience working with PCI compliance
• Experience in government technology at the state and local level highly preferred
