They are seeking a Lead IT Engineer for SAP Data Services to serve as the technical leader for enterprise SAP data migration initiatives supporting the company's digital transformation to SAP S/4HANA. This role involves overseeing the architecture, development, and delivery of complex data migration solutions across multiple ERP platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end technical design, architecture, and execution of enterprise SAP data migration projects supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations
• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex ETL pipelines using SAP Data Services (BODS) while ensuring high data quality, performance, and reliability
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, architecture oversight, development standards, troubleshooting, and mentoring of engineering team members
• Design and build scalable Azure cloud data pipelines and contribute to the evolution of Builders FirstSource's enterprise cloud data platform
• Partner with Data Scientists, business stakeholders, and cross-functional IT teams to deliver enterprise data integration, analytics, and reporting solutions
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for data architecture optimization, process automation, reusable integration frameworks, and performance tuning

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
• Seven (7)+ years of experience leading enterprise ETL development and SAP data migration projects from planning through production deployment
• Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Data Services (BODS), including SAP migration technologies such as iDocs, BAPI, LSMW, RFC, DMC, and legacy ERP data conversions
• Strong experience with Azure data engineering technologies including Databricks, Azure DevOps, Microsoft SQL, SQL Managed Instance, and cloud-based data architecture
• Advanced technical expertise in SQL, Python, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP S/4HANA, data warehousing, data modeling, Windows/Linux environments, and database connectivity
• Proven ability to lead technical architecture decisions, optimize enterprise ETL performance, implement secure data migration solutions, and deliver large-scale enterprise data engineering initiatives
