[Remote] Regional Project Manager

Koester Construction is a family-owned commercial general contractor headquartered in Grimes, IA, and they are seeking a skilled Project Manager to help lead their new regional office in Dallas, TX. This role involves planning, executing, and completing commercial construction projects while developing relationships with subcontractors and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Develop and manage relationships with local subcontractors, architects, and clients
  • Ensure project success by managing schedules, budgets, and quality standards
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain cost efficiency
  • Lead and mentor other staff members
  • Facilitate project meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively to keep projects on track
  • Uphold Koester Construction’s values and high standards of workmanship

Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial construction project management preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, coaching, and mentoring
  • Expert knowledge in construction means, methods, and techniques
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam)
  • Proven ability to manage projects budgets and control costs effectively
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and ability to collaborate with diverse project teams
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Self-starter mentality with the drive to help build and grow our new regional office
