Harvey Nash is seeking a Data Movement Engineer with strong Snowflake and ETL experience to design, optimize, and support enterprise data pipelines. The role involves hands-on development, production support, and data architecture to ensure high data quality, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize Snowflake data pipelines, models, and SQL queries
• Support ETL workflows, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Implement CDC, SCD Type 2, and Data Vault / dimensional models
• Perform root cause analysis for data issues and ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Manage data quality checks, validations, and reconciliations
• Support production systems (Snowflake, DB2, Airflow/ESP)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and support processes

Skills

• 5+ years in data engineering / data warehousing
• Strong Snowflake experience (development & data modeling)
• Advanced SQL + scripting (Python / Shell)
• Experience with ETL tools & orchestration (Airflow, ESP)
• Knowledge of CDC, SCD Type 2, Data Vault / dimensional modeling
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, ServiceNow/Jira
• Snowflake certification
• Experience with enterprise or real‑time data environments
