US-Based Bankruptcy Accountant / CPA — Chapter 11 Monthly Operating Report (UST Form 11-MOR) - Contract to Hire

Remote · Ireland Full-time

We are a small, single-location wellness business currently in Chapter 11 reorganization in Massachusetts (standard Chapter 11, not subchapter V). We need a US-based accounting professional to help us prepare and review our monthly operating reports on UST Form 11-MOR for the bankruptcy court. We maintain our own books and will provide clean, reconciled monthly data in an organized workbook. We are NOT looking for full-charge bookkeeping. We need someone who knows the bankruptcy reporting requirements to make sure our report and its required financial statements are complete, correct, and in proper form before filing. We are open to two possible arrangements, and you can bid on either or both: 1. A one-time engagement to review and help us correctly prepare our FIRST monthly operating report, so we can confidently handle subsequent months in-house. 2. Ongoing monthly preparation/review. Requirements — please address each point directly in your proposal. Proposals that do not will not be considered: - You must be based in the United States. State your city and state. - Active CPA license or equivalent credential. Provide your license number or firm name so we can verify it. - Direct, hands-on experience preparing the full UST Form 11-MOR. Tell us how many you have prepared and in which US bankruptcy district(s). - Experience with the required supporting statements: Statement of Cash Receipts and Disbursements, Balance Sheet with prepetition and postpetition liabilities reported separately, and Statement of Operations (P&L) on a GAAP/accrual basis. Please describe your experience with the prepetition/postpetition cutoff specifically. - Experience in the District of Massachusetts is strongly preferred. Please also include: - Your fee for option 1 (one-time first-report engagement) and/or option 2 (ongoing monthly), assuming we supply clean reconciled data. - Your turnaround time (we understand reports are generally due by the 21st of the following month). - Two professional references or examples of prior bankruptcy engagements. We value accuracy, reliability, and verifiable credentials over the lowest bid. We will confirm licensing before engaging. Thank you.
