The Technical Underwriting Assistant will provide administrative and technical support to insurance professionals, contributing to the efficiency of production teams and ensuring timely and accurate customer service.

Responsibilities

• Correspondence with agents or carriers for additional information needed and handling renewal reminder letters
• Requesting company-issued endorsements
• Prepping files
• Binding in the Binding Portals and processing completely through our in-house system
• Consistently demonstrate a professional, positive, team-oriented attitude while performing job duties
• Invoicing and typing Brokerage Endorsements
• Provide the technical and administrative assistance required to support the attainment of stated office-wide objectives in conjunction with service standards
• Providing timely and accurate customer service

Skills

• At least 1 year of prior insurance experience, prior experience should include either wholesale brokerage/MGA, retail insurance agency, or insurance company experience
• Knowledge and experience of personal lines insurance, including: terminology and technical procedures
• Knowledge of Windows-based software applications and basic typing skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Knowledge of basic P&C insurance, forms, endorsements, rating methods, and terminology is preferred
