Metro Sales Inc. is a 100% Employee-Owned Company and an industry leader in hardware, software, and managed services. They are seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on financial reporting and assist with Accounts Payables.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of monthly financial statements
• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review
• File monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
• Compile and organize fixed asset tax reports
• Assist with processing invoices as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Proficient with the full suite of Microsoft Office products, expert in Excel
• 0-1 yrs experience in preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
• 0-1 yrs in accounts payable process
• Have, in process of, or willingness to acquiring a CPA license within the first two (2 years)
• Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
