Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Abuse Refuge Org. (ARO) is a nonprofit organization focused on helping victims of abuse. They are seeking a Social Media Content Proofreader to assist in editing and revising various professional documents for their social media team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with editing and revising a broad variety of professional documents such as content, articles, and other publications for the social media team
• Utilize Asana to review tasks and Slack to respond to messages
• Reviews graphics in Canva to ensure all ARO requirements are met
• Edit content according to specifications for style, tone, and length, while also ensuring correct use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Ensure social media content meets style, formatting, and general quality standards
• Attend the monthly company meeting
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills

• Must be available to volunteer 8-10 hours a week
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• A team player with demonstrated experience working well with others
• Be a self-starter with excellent time management skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Behave professionally in manner and appearance
