They are seeking a Senior Node.js Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, develop high-performance APIs, and collaborate with various teams to improve application performance and establish engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Develop high-performance APIs that power core product functionality
• Build integrations with third-party platforms and external services
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making
• Improve application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Help establish engineering best practices as the platform continues to grow

Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience building applications with Node.js
• Deep understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems
• Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern backend development practices
• Strong database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar)
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and external platforms
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
• Strong communication skills and a product-focused mindset
• Experience building SaaS products
• AWS, Azure, or GCP experience
• Docker and Kubernetes experience
• CI/CD and DevOps exposure
• Experience working in legal technology, fintech, or other regulated industries
• Startup experience where you've helped scale products and teams
