Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Talisman is a company in the renewable energy space, and they are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure that supports critical business operations and analytics across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational reporting
• Develop and optimize data models, data integrations, and data warehouse solutions within Snowflake
• Utilize Python and SQL to transform, validate, and manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data quality, reliability, and performance across the data ecosystem
• Support the ongoing development of cloud-based data architecture and best practices
• Contribute to workflow orchestration and automation initiatives; experience with Dagster is highly desirable

Skills

• Prior experience within the renewable energy, clean energy, utilities, or broader energy sector is required
• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines
• Strong proficiency with Snowflake required
• Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and optimizing data performance for reporting and analytics
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Experience with Dagster and/or Airflow is a plus
• Experience with Dagster is highly desirable
