Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. is a professional services firm specializing in a full spectrum of engineering services. The Pipeline Designer/Drafter will be responsible for creating diagrams for Gas Utility Pipeline projects and preparing layout and design of systems using AutoCAD Plant 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare layout and design of oil & gas piping design systems using AVEVA (P&ID, E3D, ect) and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D software
• Producing quality piping design layouts, orientation of process equipment and interconnecting piping
• Generating Piping Line List and Tie-In list when required
• Assist engineers and designers in resolving piping design issues
• Calculating layout rights-of-way and/or street dimensions and angles
• Generating Iso-Metric Drawings using AVEVA E3D and/or Plant 3D
• Constructing dimensional relationships of one part to another and a relationship of various parts to entire project, utilizing knowledge of engineering practices and mathematics
• Creating a preliminary and/or final sketch of proposed drawing, using computer-assisted design/drafting equipment
• Incorporate redlines provided by the engineer
• Ability to validate design information (material spec, constructability, etc.)
• Ability to work in a team environment

Skills

• 1 to 5 years AutoCAD Plant 3D
• Ability to validate design information (material spec, constructability, etc.)

• Designer with SoCalGas experience preferred
• Knowledge of pipe and fittings, valves, and piping specialties preferred
• Some knowledge of AVEVA (software P&ID, E3D, etc.)
