Details Remote - Medical Biller PFS Billing-Follow Up-Denials Full Time Status Day Shift Pay: $16.15 - $21.81 / hour

Summary

This positions general responsibilities include assisting the lead medical biller and fellow billing staff in submitting accurate claims, ensuring timely reimbursement from various third-party payers and patients, and confirming proper documentation is occurring in the facility's billing system. This role is responsible for collaborating with ancillary departments and third-party payers on efforts related to follow-up, denials, and appeals. Main focus is for billing insurance follow up. This position works under the supervision of the Manager and is employed by Mosaic Health System. Duties Works daily electronic billing file and submits insurance claims to third-party payers Reviews, evaluates, and forwards manual patient account statements to payers that do not accept electronic claims or that require special handling Assists with receipt of and correspondence related EOBs, payer notices, and payer audits/record reviews Regularly evaluates denials to determine if follow up action is necessary and initiates the appeals process Performs all other duties as assigned by departmental leaders

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma required.Associate's Degree preferred. 3 to 7 years of medical billing experience is required. Apply Job!
