The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and products within the Google Cloud Platform, optimizing ETL processes, and providing technical leadership within the team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and data products within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes using tools like Dataflow, Dataform, and Matillion to ingest and transform data from a variety of sources
• Leverage Google BigQuery to model, store, and deliver data for analytics and advanced business intelligence applications
• Develop and maintain compelling analytics solutions for BI and data visualization platforms such as Quick Suite or Looker
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into detailed technical design specifications and discovery documentation
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested application software, including SQL scripts and procedures, ensuring it meets functional and performance requirements
• Proactively troubleshoot, debug, and resolve data and application issues, providing post-implementation and rotational on-call support to ensure business continuity
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team, sharing expertise and promoting best practices
• Partner with external vendors on co-development initiatives to deliver integrated solutions
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with the Information Engineering Technical Lead and team members regarding project status, risks, and concerns
• Ensure all solutions are compliant with departmental SOPs and contribute to process improvements
