The role focuses on building, enhancing, and maintaining modern cloud-native systems in an Agile environment, emphasizing performance, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain APIs within a serverless AWS environment
• Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, QA, and development teams
• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, maintainable code using modern testing frameworks (Mocha/Chai)
• Improve system performance, scalability, and availability across complex applications
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and iterative development cycles
• Support ongoing feature enhancements, UI improvements, and system updates

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (required)
• 5+ years of backend and/or full-stack development experience
• Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including: AWS Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation, S3, SNS, SQS
• Experience with ElasticSearch
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• To meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, the candidate must be authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (includes fingerprinting and background investigation)

• Experience supporting federal or government technology programs
