About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking and innovative leader in the beauty and wellness industry, is seeking an exceptionally talented Remote Advanced Skincare Formulator. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge skincare products, leveraging your expertise in cosmetic chemistry and a deep understanding of active ingredients, botanical extracts, and advanced delivery systems. Key Responsibilities

Research, develop, and formulate innovative skincare products, including serums, creams, lotions, masks, and cleansers. Identify and evaluate new raw materials, active ingredients, and technologies to enhance product efficacy and performance. Conduct stability testing, safety assessments, and efficacy trials for new and existing formulations. Optimize existing formulations to improve performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability. Collaborate closely with the Product Development team to ensure formulations align with brand strategy and consumer needs. Troubleshoot formulation challenges and provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle. Prepare detailed formulation reports, documentation, and ingredient lists. Stay informed about global cosmetic regulations, industry trends, and competitor activities. Work remotely, communicating effectively with team members through virtual channels.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cosmetic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in skincare formulation within the beauty industry. Proven track record of successfully developing and launching innovative skincare products. In-depth knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, formulation principles, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with current cosmetic regulations (e.g., FDA, EU regulations). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong understanding of stability and safety testing methodologies. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in relevant software for formulation development and data management.
