Regional Sales Manager, Advanced Materials- East Coast We are looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager for our East Coast Advanced Materials team. This role reports to the Director for Advanced Materials for the United States and leads a sales team covering the east coast of the United States from Maine to Florida and as far west as Pennsylvania and Tennessee. The role is primarily remote with approximately 50% travel. Travel is mostly domestic and is sometimes overnight. The ideal candidate is located in Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Nashville or New Jersey. Specialty Chemical & Ingredient distribution experience is strongly preferred. About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is one of a few or several regional commercial leaders, in charge of a regional team of inside and outside Technical Account Managers (TAMs). The RSM has a primary responsibility to develop, manage and grow top line revenue, volume and margin improvement across all product lines. The RSM will need to build executive reports to share to leadership, suppliers and peers.

Responsibilities

Owns regional sales performance and execution in alignment with company growth objectives. Oversees regional pipeline development, including key opportunity management, new pipeline development and ensuring team data cleanliness. Ensures proper communication and coordination between Technical Account Managers and principal suppliers. Leads, coaches, and develops a team of Technical Account Managers to consistently achieve individual and regional sales goals, including travelling in the assigned region with team members on joint calls, ensuring pre-call planning and overseeing development opportunities for growth. Attends and supports supplier Quarterly Business Reviews as needed to ensure market information is relayed to our suppliers. Establishes territory-level priorities, sales plans, and focus areas to drive base business growth and new opportunities. Partners with marketing and product teams to support new product introductions, evaluations, and market adoption. Oversees accurate forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management using Salesforce and related tools. Serves as escalation point for complex customer issues, ensuring timely resolution and alignment with company standards. Communicates market intelligence, opportunity insights, and account-level changes to sales leadership. Evaluates team and individual performance and drives continuous improvement through coaching and feedback. Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Material Sciences or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of management experience or similar role Business to Business (B2B) commercial experience Strong familiarity with chemical distribution industry preferred
