What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Analyze and resolve insurance claim denials for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) supplies
• Generate effective written appeals to carriers using well-researched logic
• Ensure billing and coding accuracy prior to submitting appeals or reconsiderations
• Identify trends and patterns in denials to proactively resolve recurring issues
• Collaborate with team members and management on coding and billing challenges

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Minimum three years of experience in DME billing and coding
• Experience with collections of insurance claims
• Background in Medicare and/or Medicaid
• Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) processes
• High school diploma or GED required

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• EDI transmission experience is preferred
• Strong research and analytical skills with critical thinking abilities
• Familiarity with coding and medical terminology
