Job Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Engaging with American Express card members via phone, email, and chat channels to address inquiries and provide assistance.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service by actively listening to customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Educating card members on American Express products, services, and benefits to maximize their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Processing card member requests, including account inquiries, payment processing, and dispute resolution, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex issues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and transactions using our CRM system.
  • Staying updated on product offerings, promotions, and industry trends to effectively assist card members and enhance their experience.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a contact center environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Empathetic and patient attitude with a passion for helping others.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
