Position Summary: Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a full-time Economic & Workforce Development Contract Specialist on our West Bend Campus. The Economic and Workforce Development (EWD) Contract Specialist coordinates all aspects of customized and other training contracts to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality service to business and industry clients across the district. This position serves as a key operational link between employers, instructional teams, and internal departments, supporting scheduling, registration, billing, and documentation processes in accordance with College and WTCS standards. The role is essential in ensuring a seamless client experience and contributing to the College’s mission of providing responsive, workforce-focused education and training solutions. The successful candidate will have an associate degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, two years of related experience required, including experience coordinating events and projects and the ability to understand and respond to the needs of business/industry clients, and integrate business needs with college policies. This position will be posted for five business days, through Wednesday April 29, 2026. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an internal contact for business and industry clients relating to contract training for a designated portfolio of products throughout the District. Identify needs for training, technical assistance, and related services. Recommend appropriate College programs.
  • Coordinate EWD customized training contracts, technical assistance, and bootcamps with all instructional and operational units to ensure customer needs are met. Prepare and maintain schedules, classes, payroll records, participant and instructor materials, contracts, and participant recruitment and support as needed. Manage curriculum inventory and supplies.
  • Finalize the service contract agreements and facilitate the contract delivery process including registration, availability of instructional materials, facility accommodations, evaluations, certificates, and customer follow-up.
  • Manage the database for all customized training curriculum information, ensuring accuracy to support the sales and grant processes.
  • Serve as the primary information resource for technology solutions that support students and staff in the delivery of customized training initiatives. Research, recommend, and oversee other technology solutions as needed. Identify areas for continuous improvement, research possible solutions, and provide recommendations for implementation.
  • Establish and maintain contact with EWD customized training customers to ensure education and training needs are met. Address and resolve customer issues and complaints and promote additional College services based on understanding customer needs. Track utilization of services and contract revenue and prepare reports.
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships with EWD online instructional providers. Develop strong relationships with teams throughout the College to improve services, communication, and the delivery of contract training.
  • Support the writing, utilization, and reconciliation of grants that support EWD training initiatives. Ensure proper reporting and documentation in accordance with all required guidelines.
  • Administer the test assessment process for external clients, including sales, pricing, coordination, facilitation of testing, and completion of reporting functions.

Experience & Qualifications(in addition to those listed in the summary above):

  • Knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with end users, colleagues, and management to provide a complete and timely explanation of issues and decisions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions with minimal direction.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize special projects with routine assignments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
