Box Truck Dispatcher (26ft Box Truck / Regional Freight)
Job Overview Remote | Contract | Performance-Based Compensation KMF Logistics is seeking a highly motivated and aggressive dispatcher to manage and secure freight for a 26ft dock-height box truck operating out of Indianapolis, Indiana. We are not looking for someone who simply refreshes load boards. We are looking for someone who understands urgency, communication, negotiation, and consistency — someone capable of keeping equipment moving daily while building long-term broker and freight relationships. This role is ideal for an experienced dispatcher who understands:
- new authority operations
- regional freight strategy
- broker communication
- box truck freight
- expedited and partial loads
- direct freight opportunities
Duties
- Locate and book profitable freight daily
- Negotiate rates with brokers and direct customers
- Minimize downtime and maximize truck utilization
- Build and maintain broker relationships
- Monitor DAT and other freight platforms consistently
- Source regional, local, partial, expedited, and last-mile opportunities
- Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and driver communication
- Maintain professionalism and urgency in all communications
- Identify direct freight and long-term opportunities
Qualifications
- Previous dispatching experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of box truck operations
- Familiarity with DAT, TruckStop, and freight sourcing
- Understanding of regional Midwest freight lanes
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Organized, responsive, and solution-oriented mindset
- Must be dependable and results-driven

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred)
