This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. Our nonprofit needs support crafting a templated communications plan. We hope to use this framework for future program initiatives, fundraising events, or press announcements. We need your expertise to communicate big moments for our nonprofit clearly, concisely, and consistently. We are looking for a skilled communications professional to: -Create a checklist to guide your organization through the who, what, when, and how of sharing program updates, internal shifts, or responses to current events -This checklist should pull in all the various channels that our nonprofit should use to reach clients, volunteers, or funders so we have a standardized plan for outreach -The communications plan should take into account our current marketing tools and staff capacity We currently have an intern that is available to support social media posts using the guidance from the plan. This project should take from 24-48 hours to complete. We're hopeful that our volunteer partner will share 2-5 hours of their time per week. This project will support our mission by providing a framework for reaching funders, stakeholders, and creating awareness for the organization. The volunteer's support will help build the capacity we need to advance our mission. To prepare for the creation of this communications plan, we have started creating marketing materials such as donor profiles, 1-pagers, launching a web page and branding social media. We will implement the results of this project using volunteers.
