Transportation Logistics Manager

Remote · Denmark Full-time

Remote role, but CANDIDATES MUST BE BASED OUT OF NORTH CAROLINA (Fayetteville applicants HIGHLY desired). Productiv, Inc. is seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee inbound and outbound freight operations, parcel shipping, carrier coordination, and transportation program support across our logistics network. This role is responsible for managing LTL, PTL, FTL, and small parcel shipments while driving cost efficiency, service reliability, and shipment visibility for our B2B customers. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in transportation management, freight coordination, carrier management, TMS and WMS systems, and shipping compliance. This position plays a key role in supporting daily logistics operations, resolving freight issues, and improving overall shipping performance.

Requirements

  • Manage transportation operations for inbound and outbound freight, including LTL, PTL, FTL, and small parcel shipments.
  • Schedule and track shipments using transportation management systems.
  • Coordinate shipping through carriers such as USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, and other freight providers.
  • Select the most effective carriers based on cost, transit time, visibility, and service performance.
  • Work with freight brokers and carriers throughout the shipment lifecycle.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for B2B clients regarding shipment scheduling, shipment status, and service support.
  • Prepare shipping quotes and support new customer opportunities with transportation pricing.
  • Review shipping activity and carrier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records, shipment documentation, and reporting in TMS and WMS platforms.
  • Research, identify, and dispute incorrect freight charges, accessorial fees, and billing discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with shipment labeling, documentation, carrier requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Support logistics operations with detailed reporting, data analysis, and service follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Experience in transportation management, freight coordination, shipping operations, or logistics management.
  • Working knowledge of LTL shipping, freight class, NMFC codes, weight and dimensions, accessorial charges, and freight insurance.
  • Strong understanding of small parcel, LTL, PTL, and FTL shipment types.
  • Familiarity with freight equipment and transportation methods including dry vans, flatbeds, box trucks, lowboys, and specialized equipment.
  • Experience using TMS and WMS platforms in a logistics or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to retrieve and manage shipment data including PO numbers, SO numbers, and carrier tracking information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Knowledge of freight audit processes, billing review, and charge dispute resolution.
  • Willingness to obtain HAZMAT shipping certification if needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a 3PL, logistics, transportation, or distribution environment.
  • Experience managing B2B shipping programs or high-volume freight operations.
  • Background in carrier rate negotiation or transportation cost analysis.
  • Familiarity with freight audit, claims, and accessorial charge disputes.

Schedule and Location

  • Remote role, but candidates must be based out of North Carolina (Fayetteville applicants HIGHLY desired).
  • Monday through Friday with 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM core hours.
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs.
  • Occasional travel to Productiv warehouse locations throughout the United States (10% or less).
