AtkinsRéalis is a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization, and they are seeking a junior Engineer-in-Training to join their Rail Systems Trackwork team in Toronto. The role involves contributing to the design and construction of rail networks, performing track alignment, conducting ride quality analysis, and providing design support during construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform track alignment and geometric layout for rail infrastructure projects
• Conduct ride quality analysis and optimization to improve system performance
• Support trackwork design and prepare detailed engineering drawings
• Complete quantity take-offs and contribute to cost estimating activities
• Assist in the preparation of technical specifications and documentation
• Analyze as-built survey data to support project accuracy and validation
• Provide design support during construction to ensure project execution

Skills

• Ability to hold a university degree in Civil Engineering
• Ability to be registered or eligible for registration with EGBC
• Proficiency in computer applications, including AutoCAD or Microstation
• Ability to communicate effectively with strong work ethic
• Aptitude for using AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley Rail Track design software as an asset
