Epstein Architecture, Engineering and Construction is an established firm with over 100 years of experience, headquartered in Chicago. They are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join their structural engineering team, performing a variety of engineering tasks and collaborating with others to design innovative solutions in accordance with project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of engineering tasks
• Work with others on the design team to design innovative and technically sound solutions in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes
• Create BIM models
• Perform calculations, research, and structural analysis
• Assist in the production of plans, specifications, reports, etc
• Coordinate with other building design disciplines

Skills

• Masters Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred
• 0-3 years of successful project experience within a consulting engineering or AE firm
• Previous experience with REVIT Structure
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and discipline specific software packages such as Robot, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, SAP, Tedds and Enercalc
• Awareness of other disciplines and the interrelationship of the various elements of design
• Strong analytical skills; knowledge of analysis methods
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
