Nova Talent Solutions is a leading global organization seeking a Staff Accountant I for a 6-month contract opportunity. This role is ideal for local, junior-level candidates who will be responsible for processing billing, maintaining financial accuracy, and supporting administrative accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Process billing, disbursements, and payment applications
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all financial transactions
• Research and resolve discrepancies, including check-related issues
• Respond professionally to internal and external communications
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
• Prepare and analyze accounting reports, including variances and billing statements
• Support administrative accounting functions and maintain client or account records
• Assist in improving and documenting accounting processes and procedures
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, SOX requirements, GAAP standards, and other regulatory guidelines

Skills

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple systems and tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Prior experience in finance or accounting roles
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills
