Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating poverty housing and homelessness. They are seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting, managing journal entries, reconciliations, accounts receivable, and assisting with month-end close and audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records
• Support accounts receivable processes, including revenue recording
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash and receivables
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Support audit preparation and financial reporting needs

Skills

• Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to respond to internal financial inquiries and support process improvements
