As a worldwide leader in the digital media space, Valnet operates at a rapid pace and is seeking a highly organized, strategy-driven Social Media Specialist to join our team on a 1099 freelance basis. In this role, you will own, execute, and scale the daily social footprint for a dedicated selection of brands within our tech network. You will collaborate with other Social Coordinators to ensure strategic alignment and drive overall traffic and community growth.

Key Responsibilities

Create, execute, and oversee the daily social media strategy across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, BlueSky, TikTok, LinkedIn) for your assigned tech brand(s). Schedule and manage daily content drops including breaking tech news, evergreen tutorials, product reviews, and recirculated top-performing posts. Collaborate closely with the Editorial team and Social Coordinator to streamline workflows and adapt instantly to fast-breaking tech updates. Write engaging, platform-tailored captions and copy that accurately leverage each brand's unique voice and style. Utilize the TrueAnthem scheduling tool and Media Library system to efficiently tag, sort, and organize content assets. Track and grow relevant performance metrics across all active social media channels.

Qualifications

Proven experience managing major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, X, BlueSky, TikTok). Strong capability to look at the bigger picture, develop creative content hooks, and execute an overarching growth strategy. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining premium quality standards. Ability to quickly learn new tools, analyze performance data, and adjust scheduling strategies as platform algorithms shift. Comfortable working independently and leading initiatives in a collaborative, fast-paced remote environment. Bonus Skills Hands-on familiarity with digital publishing scheduling or analytics platforms (TrueAnthem, Meta Business Suite, etc.). Basic graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools.
