Senior Systems Administrator – MSP Location: Remote with occasional local client visits (Must live in NYC area) Salary: $115,000 – $135,000 base OVERVIEW We are a growing Managed IT and cybersecurity provider hiring a Senior Systems Administrator to lead Microsoft cloud, security, endpoint, and infrastructure projects across multiple client environments. This role is ideal for an experienced MSP engineer who wants ownership over project delivery, solution design, and client-facing technical work. You will work across Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Entra ID, Windows Server, endpoint security, automation, and cybersecurity while helping clients modernize and secure their environments. This is a remote role with occasional local client visits and significant autonomy for someone who can take projects from scoping through completion. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Entra ID, and endpoint security projects across managed client environments
• Design, implement, and improve cloud, security, endpoint, and hybrid infrastructure solutions
• Administer Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Exchange Online, Azure Virtual Desktop, and related Microsoft cloud technologies
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, print services, and hybrid infrastructure environments
• Improve client security posture through MFA, Conditional Access, Defender for Endpoint, Secure Score, ASR rules, and related security initiatives
• Manage and optimize MSP platforms such as Datto RMM, Kaseya, MDR, SaaS Alerts, Inky, or similar tools
• Conduct technical assessments and present recommendations to clients
• Own onboarding, offboarding, documentation, timelines, stakeholder communication, and project execution
• Partner with internal teams to scope solutions, review proposals, and support technical discussions
• Develop PowerShell automation to improve operational efficiency

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience working for a Managed Service Provider
• 7+ years of senior IT engineering, systems administration, solutions engineering, or project engineering experience
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Intune, and endpoint management
• Experience supporting Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, Entra Join, and cloud-based Microsoft environments
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and hybrid infrastructure
• Strong cybersecurity knowledge including endpoint protection, email security, MFA, identity management, and access controls
• Experience with RMM, PSA, endpoint security, and MSP operational tools
• Ability to manage projects independently from kickoff through completion
• Strong client-facing communication skills
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience
