Senior Instructional Designer, Remote

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Instructional Designer to join their fully remote team. This role is critical for developing innovative and impactful learning solutions that drive professional growth and organizational success. As a Senior Instructional Designer, you will lead the design and development of engaging e-learning courses, virtual instructor-led training (VILT) modules, and other blended learning materials. You will apply your expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies (like ADDIE and SAM), and cutting-edge technologies to create compelling and effective learning experiences. Key responsibilities include analyzing learning needs, defining learning objectives, designing curriculum frameworks, developing storyboards, scripting content, and collaborating closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), multimedia developers, and project managers. You will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of learning interventions and iterating based on feedback and performance data. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of successful learning design projects, mastery of e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate), and a deep understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously are essential. A Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in instructional design, is required. Develop detailed design documents, storyboards, scripts, and other instructional materials. Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy and relevance. Work with multimedia developers to produce high-quality digital learning assets. Manage the end-to-end instructional design process for assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery. Evaluate learning solution effectiveness through various assessment methods and feedback mechanisms. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design and learning technology. Mentor junior instructional designers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Qualifications: Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a closely related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in instructional design and development. A strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful learning design projects. Expert proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360 Suite, Adobe Captivate). Demonstrated experience with virtual instructor-led training (VILT) design and facilitation. Solid understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) functionalities. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
