They are seeking a Workday Principal Consultant, Payroll, who will partner with clients to deliver effective Workday solutions and lead the configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Payroll.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to understand business needs and align them with scalable, effective Workday solutions
• Lead and support the configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Payroll
• Participate in design workshops and requirement gathering, translating complex challenges into executable plans
• Tackle projects of varying size and complexity with clarity and confidence — always focused on delivering value
• Bring a consultative approach to problem-solving, helping clients simplify where possible and optimize for long-term success
• Collaborate across teams with a shared commitment to delivering outcomes, not just outputs

Skills

• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday Payroll required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues and deliver clear, actionable solutions
• Proven success collaborating within team environments, building strong partnerships, communicating effectively, and contributing to shared goals
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments while managing multiple priorities and meeting project milestones
• Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes
• Workday consulting experience, either as an internal practitioner or with a consulting/services partner
• Must be U.S.-based and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Experience managing payroll operations
• Experience supporting global payroll processes, including PECI integrations and Workday Cloud Connect
• Functional knowledge of Workday HCM, including the ability to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions
• Experience partnering with Finance on general ledger mapping and payroll accounting postings
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and organizational integrations
