In this role, you will support ongoing website enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and implement new features across various WordPress-based projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, update, and optimize WordPress websites to ensure performance, security, and reliability
• Develop custom WordPress pages, templates, and themes based on business and design requirements
• Build and manage content using modern block editors, including Gutenberg and Kadence
• Troubleshoot website issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and stakeholders to deliver user-friendly experiences
• Manage code repositories and participate in version control processes using Git
• Work with MySQL databases to support website functionality and data management
• Configure, manage, and deploy websites hosted on WP Engine
• Perform website testing, quality assurance, and ongoing improvements
• Follow WordPress development best practices and coding standards

Skills

• 4+ years of professional experience working with WordPress
• Strong experience with WordPress site maintenance and support
• Proven experience developing custom WordPress themes and pages
• Hands-on experience with Gutenberg and/or Kadence block editors
• Strong PHP development skills
• Experience using Git for version control and collaborative development
• Solid understanding of MySQL databases
• Experience managing websites hosted on WP Engine
• Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
