The Social Media Specialist plays a vital role in advancing the organization’s mission by managing and growing its social media presence, creating engaging content, and promoting initiatives to raise awareness about human trafficking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a social media content strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and goals
• Manage and maintain Centurions Michigan’s official social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok)
• Create and schedule engaging posts, stories, and campaigns to raise awareness and encourage community involvement
• Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities, messages, and comments; respond promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with program teams to promote events, initiatives, and volunteer opportunities
• Track and analyze social media metrics to measure reach, engagement, and impact; provide regular reports to leadership
• Stay current with social media trends, best practices, and platform updates to ensure effective outreach
• Ensure all content aligns with the organization’s brand, values, and messaging guidelines
• Support digital fundraising campaigns and awareness events through targeted social media strategies
• Uphold confidentiality and sensitivity when sharing stories related to survivors or investigations
