The role involves pitching, writing, and editing culture explainers focused on celebrity and entertainment, while also tracking performance across platforms like Apple News.

Responsibilities

• Write new content, closely adhering to InStyle’s style guide and ensuring all copy is clean, accurate, and optimized for platforms like Google Discover and Apple News
• Editing other writer’s content
• Identifying and executing apple news resurfacing opportunities
• Pitch content based on news cycle and search trends

Skills

• Education: BA or BS
• Experience: 2-3 years experience writing for a celebrity news publication or in a related entertainment space
• Strong writing and editing skills, impeccable journalistic standards, and attention to detail
• Ability to respond quickly to breaking news and understand how to find an evergreen angle from a news event
• Demonstrated understanding of SEO and analytics
• Demonstrated knowledge of celebrity and pop culture
• Loves a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
