They are seeking a System Engineer: DevOps to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and deployment pipelines, focusing on PostgreSQL and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and deployment pipelines with an emphasis on PostgreSQL and Tableau
• Configuring and managing PostgreSQL databases
• Optimizing performance
• Monitoring availability
• Ensuring data integrity and security
• Administering Tableau servers and environments
• Managing data sources
• Supporting report and dashboard deployment
• Troubleshooting issues across the analytics stack
• Collaborating with development, data, and security teams to automate workflows
• Improving CI/CD processes
• Refining system design for reliability and scalability
• Documenting configurations and procedures
• Providing proactive technical support for internal and client stakeholders

Skills

• Candidates should possess skills in Systems Engineering and Systems Design for building, integrating, and optimizing complex infrastructure and analytics environments
• Candidates should possess skills in System Administration for managing servers, databases (PostgreSQL), and Tableau environments, including configuration, monitoring, and patching
• Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Technical Support for diagnosing performance and availability issues, resolving incidents, and assisting users and project teams
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security configuration
• Experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud deployment, user and content administration, and integration with data sources
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, client-focused environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (such as Docker or Kubernetes) is beneficial
