Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) is dedicated to inspiring and training the next generation of problem solvers. They are seeking a Sunday Math Contest Teaching Assistant to provide mentoring and support for students preparing for math contests while supplementing their learning experiences during live online classes.

Responsibilities

• Supplement students’ learning experiences by answering questions, providing hints, and encouragement in real time during live text-based classes

Skills

• Must be 18 or older
• Strong command of math content required, physics, python, or chemistry a plus
• Good English writing and typing skills
• Quick thinker in a fast-paced learning environment
• Must be pursuing or have completed a degree in a STEM field. Completed degree preferred
• Teaching or tutoring experience
• Experience with math contests (e.g. MAA AMC 10/12, AIME, USA(J)MO) required, other contest experience a plus (e.g., F=ma, USAPhO, USACO, USNCO, etc)
