[Remote] Sr Software Engineer In Test I

The Senior Software Engineer in Test I is responsible for designing and implementing automated test cases, collaborating on testing priorities, and mentoring junior testers to ensure software quality.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated and manual test cases to ensure the quality of software products
  • Collaborate with software engineers and other stakeholders to define and prioritize testing efforts
  • Write clear and concise test plans and test cases
  • Execute automated and manual tests and report on test results
  • Reproduce and report software defects and work with software engineers to ensure their resolution
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging testing technologies and methodologies
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to software engineers on testability and quality
  • Ensure that software products meet customer requirements and are delivered on schedule
  • Mentor and guide junior test engineers in best practices
  • Maintain compliance with the knowledge requirements outlined on the department intranet site
  • Leverage AI tooling to accelerate development activities (e.g., code generation, testing, documentation)
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Applicable Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a related position
  • Expert level knowledge of AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
  • Programming language(s) such as JavaScript, Java, C#, etc
  • Advanced level knowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques
  • Advanced level experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
  • Expert level problem-solving skills
  • Advanced level ability to write clear and concise test plans and test cases
  • Intermediate level communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Intermediate level ability to work effectively in a team environment
