They are seeking a Software Engineer to support the development of a modernization framework and enhance existing business applications, ideal for a developer with foundational Java knowledge eager to learn modern practices and cloud concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining Java-based components within the modernization framework
• Support refactoring efforts for legacy components under senior developer guidance
• Participate in implementing APIs, integrations, and backend services
• Write clean, maintainable code following defined coding standards
• Assist in documenting technical requirements, system behaviors, and application architecture updates
• Perform basic unit testing and assist with debugging activities
• Collaborate with mid-level and senior developers during design sessions and sprint ceremonies

Skills

• 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with HS diploma
• Must have active Public Trust clearance
• Must have Security+ certification
• Must have hands-on experience developing Java EE applications on WebLogic Application Server
• High-level knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems
• Experience with AI development
• Cloud development experience
