Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SR Staffing is a highly sophisticated Top 200 CPA firm serving high-net-worth individuals and real estate investors. They are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with strong technical expertise in real estate and complex partnership taxation to prepare and review complex tax returns, collaborate with partners and external advisors, and contribute to high-level advisory work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex Partnership, S Corporation, Individual, Trust, and Estate tax returns
• Participate in proactive tax planning and consulting engagements throughout the year
• Review and adjust client-prepared accounting and financial data
• Collaborate with attorneys, wealth advisors, and external professionals
• Conduct tax research and prepare written technical analyses
• Assist with tax controversy matters , including audits and notices
• Maintain ongoing client relationships and communication
• Identify planning opportunities and bring strategic ideas to partners and clients
• Participate in transactions, restructurings, and special projects
• Mentor and support the development of junior staff
• Contribute to workflow improvements and AI-driven initiatives

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA designation required
• 7–10 years of public accounting experience (mid-to-large firm preferred)
• Strong experience in real estate, partnerships, and HNW clients
• Knowledge of complex tax structures, trusts, and multi-state taxation
• Strong communication, organization, and client management skills
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with ability to manage multiple engagements
• Experience with tools such as Lacerte, CCH Workstream, QuickBooks, and Office 365 preferred
