The Senior Software Engineer role is ideal for an experienced engineer with strong expertise in cloud architecture, distributed systems, and modern development practices who is excited to help build a scalable platform from the ground up in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable platform services, web and mobile applications, and AI-powered workflows
• Contribute to architectural decisions including event-driven systems, service boundaries, and long-term platform scalability
• Leverage AI-enhanced developer tools such as code generation, automated testing, and CI/CD optimization to improve delivery speed and code quality
• Participate in greenfield system design, including technology selection, infrastructure strategy, and service architecture
• Implement secure coding practices and integrate security tools such as OWASP, DAST, SCA, and SAST across systems
• Collaborate with product teams to define MVP scope, instrument features, and measure performance and ROI
• Improve SDLC processes including testing frameworks, pull request quality, CI/CD pipelines, and developer experience
• Support recruiting efforts by evaluating candidates for technical expertise and alignment with modern engineering practices
• Promote a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience building scalable systems across web, mobile, or backend services
• Hands-on experience with cloud architecture, including infrastructure, networking, observability, and deployment strategies
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, and performance optimization
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality
• Working knowledge of application and infrastructure security practices, including OWASP and modern security tooling
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and explain technical concepts clearly
• Experience in healthcare environments, HIPAA compliance, or regulated systems is a plus
• Background in startup or high-growth environments with ownership of end-to-end delivery is preferred
• Experience building or integrating AI/ML-driven features such as predictive models or workflow automation is a plus
