Remote Senior Insurance Claims Adjuster

Our client, a reputable insurance provider, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Insurance Claims Adjuster to join their team remotely. This position offers the convenience of working from home anywhere in the US, focusing on managing complex claims from initial report through to settlement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of insurance policies, claims investigation, damage assessment, and negotiation tactics. You will be crucial in ensuring fair and efficient resolution of claims, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and upholding the company's commitment to integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate, evaluate, and settle insurance claims in accordance with policy provisions and company guidelines. Conduct thorough damage assessments, determining the extent of liability and coverage. Negotiate settlements with claimants, policyholders, and legal representatives. Gather and analyze evidence, including police reports, witness statements, and repair estimates. Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, documenting all activities and decisions. Communicate effectively with claimants, providing clear explanations of the claims process and status updates. Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate suspicious claims for further investigation. Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior claims adjusters. Continuously improve claims handling practices to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a claims adjuster, with a focus on (specific line of insurance, e.g., Auto, Property, Workers' Compensation). Hold required state licensing(s) for claims adjusting. Strong understanding of insurance contracts, legal principles, and claims investigation techniques. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and effectively in a remote environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
