As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in the AI/ML model development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and monitor models that enhance educational experiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report on projects of diverse scope independently with weekly manager check-ins
• Support/guide junior colleagues, including acting as team lead on shared projects
• Propose solutions to business problems based on limited information and precedent
• Solve problems by adopting, adapting, and/or extending existing DS/AI approaches
• Collaborate with colleagues in other functions to support the creation of compelling learning experiences
• Learn how to balance multiple projects and revise project plans as circumstances change

Skills

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in AI, Data Science, or related field
• 3+ years of applicable work experience
• Ability to apply DS/AI knowledge to independently define and resolve problems, even with limited information or precedent
• Recent hands-on experience with generative AI, including LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex)
• Deep understanding of large language model (LLM) principles
• Proficiency in Python and SQL (5+ years)
• Creativity in addressing diverse issues aligned with business goals, including suggesting variations in approach
• Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences and advise others on complex matters
• Proven track record of independently planning, executing, and reporting on AI projects to deliver business value
• Passion for technology and commitment to staying current on generative AI advancements
• Affinity for education and knowledge sharing
• Experience with LangSmith
• Strong technical communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create scalable and efficient production-level code
