The role focuses on ensuring accurate patient records, regulatory adherence, and financial integrity in healthcare finance.

Responsibilities

• Managing the financial aspects of patient care, including billing, insurance claims, payment processing, financial counseling, utilization and revenue cycle analysis
• Translating patient diagnoses, treatments, and procedures into standardized medical codes
• Ensuring accurate coding to support billing processes, comply with regulations, and maintain the integrity of patient health records for reimbursement and reporting purposes
• Leading the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills
• Managing projects or processes, coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower level professionals

Skills

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience required
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), AAPC or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), AHIMA, required
• Other similar coding certifications may be considered
