The role involves managing various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, and supporting cash management, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage accounting functions for our growing software firm: Journal entries, accruals, A/R, A/P and account reconciliation
• Sales Tax and Payroll preparation
• Financial and SOC audit assistance
• Financial statement generation
• Cash management, budgeting and forecasting activities

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Available 20-40 hours per week on a contract basis
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Experience with accounting software
• Experience creating and preparing financial statements
• Advanced Excel expertise required
• Excellent organizational skills
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• GAAP Proficiency
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Responsible individual with a strong work ethic and analytical mind to play a key administrative role
• Experience in SaaS, technology, or software company
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills
• A drive to continue learning, specifically about the energy business and W Energy software
