The Department of Physics and Astronomy in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Under the leadership of Christopher Fowler, the incumbent in this position will conduct research in the field of MAVEN data analysis. This is a full-time, 9-month, benefits-eligible position. Analysis and interpretation of MAVEN plasma observations to understand how the Mars-solar wind interaction drives structure and variability in the upper ionosphere of Mars. Write results into manuscripts that will be submitted to peer review publications; attend and present results at scientific conferences.

Writing and submitting a manuscript for peer review publication. Knowledge of and ability to analyze and interpret MAVEN particle and field observations. Ability to write own computer code for this analysis and production of relevant figures. Ability to write results into manuscripts for submission to peer review scientific journals.
