The position involves reviewing AI training problems and assessing their scientific realism and design quality without solving them directly.

Responsibilities

• Review AI training problems and research environments built for a frontier AI lab
• Assess whether problems are scientifically realistic, well-designed, and correctly graded
• Review problem quality without solving the problems yourself
• Check whether the grading logic and expected outputs are appropriate
• Identify issues in problem design, assumptions, or evaluation quality
• Provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations
• Write clear and structured review comments
• Complete tasks that usually take 30 90 minutes each

Skills

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to start immediately
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations
• Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering concepts
• Expertise or Knowledge of Python
• Excellent structured communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting
• Reliable desktop/laptop with stable internet connection
• Availability to work around 15 hours over the next few days
• 4 hours overlap with PST
