The Lead AI Engineer will design and build AI-powered operational systems, working closely with teams to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions that operate reliably within regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI-powered applications, automations, and agentic workflows
• Build backend services, APIs, integrations, and internal platforms
• Partner with stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities for operational improvement
• Translate complex business processes into scalable software systems
• Develop solutions that balance usability, reliability, security, and compliance
• Continuously improve systems based on user feedback and operational outcomes

Skills

• Strong software engineering experience with a focus on backend systems and platform development
• Expertise in TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and modern API design
• Experience building and deploying AI-powered products or workflow automation systems
• Understanding of security, privacy, compliance, and building systems within HIPAA-regulated environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate independently
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
