Key Responsibilities

Receive, review, and investigate insurance claims submitted by policyholders. Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering documentation, interviewing claimants and witnesses, and assessing damages. Analyze policy coverage and determine the extent of the company's liability. Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other parties involved in the claims process. Manage a caseload of claims efficiently and effectively, ensuring adherence to all legal and company guidelines. Maintain accurate and detailed claim files using company-specific software. Communicate claim status and decisions clearly and empathetically to all parties. Identify potential fraudulent claims and escalate as necessary. Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and company policies. Collaborate with internal teams, such as legal and risk management, to resolve complex claims.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Insurance Claims Adjuster. Proven understanding of claims investigation, evaluation, and negotiation techniques. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in claims management software and MS Office Suite. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Possession of relevant adjuster licenses as required by state regulations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Empathy and customer-focused approach.
