The role involves challenging advanced language models on various linguistic topics and documenting findings to improve AI performance.

Responsibilities

• Converse with the model on language scenarios
• Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness
• Capture reproducible error traces
• Suggest improvements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics

Skills

• Access to Android devices
• Expertise in French grammar, syntax, morphology, semantics, phonetics, and pragmatics
• Ability to challenge advanced language models on topics like dialectal variation, formal versus colloquial language, French orthography, translation accuracy, semantic ambiguity, and cultural context
• Ability to document failure modes
• Ability to converse with the model on language scenarios
• Ability to verify factual accuracy and logical soundness
• Ability to capture reproducible error traces
• Ability to suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
• Master's or PhD in French language, linguistics, or a closely related field
• Clear, metacognitive communication skills
• Peer-reviewed publications
