The Data Engineer I role involves supporting data conversions, hygiene, and custom services while ensuring the accuracy and structure of critical nonprofit datasets.

Responsibilities

• Run and monitor recurring data update and ingestion jobs
• Perform basic data editing, formatting, and normalization in SQL-based workflows
• Support the transformation of raw or external data into usable internal formats
• Assist in data validation, anomaly tracking, and issue escalation
• Document standard workflows for future execution and training

Skills

• Foundational understanding of data formats and transformations
• Ability to manipulate and edit structured datasets using SQL or spreadsheet tools
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and cleanliness
• Strong willingness to learn data tools and internal processes
• Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven environment
• Experience in the nonprofit or political campaign space preferred
